Terms of Service

Welcome to Home Search ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Home Search. This Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Description of Service

Home Search is a home search organization tool that allows you to save, categorize, and compare residential real estate listings. The Service allows you to:

  • Save property listings and organize them on boards
  • Add notes and categorize properties into custom sections
  • Share boards and collaborate with other registered users
  • Import listing details from supported real estate websites

Home Search is an organizational tool only. We do not provide real estate brokerage services, property valuations, financial advice, or legal advice. Property information displayed on the Service may not be accurate or current. Always verify property details independently.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond its intended functionality
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users' experiences
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create within the Service (notes, board names, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Property listing data imported from third-party websites remains subject to those websites' terms of service and intellectual property rights.

6. Shared Boards

When you share a board with other users, those users will be able to view and edit the homes on that board. You are responsible for managing access to your boards. We are not responsible for actions taken by collaborators you have invited.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Home Search and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks may not be used without our prior written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party websites or services (such as Zillow). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any property information displayed is accurate, complete, or current.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOME SEARCH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
